Feed A Family is a nonprofit organization organized under the laws of South Carolina. We are a group of friends, business owners and professionals from the Myrtle Beach area that have decided to come together to give back to the community.
This will be our 9th annual Feed A Family project. Every year, with the help of hundreds of kind, caring and generous people and businesses, we raise money to provide local families with a Christmas dinner that they ordinarily would not be able to afford. The meal consists of an entire cooked turkey with all the sides, bread and dessert. This meal is personally delivered to the homes of these families by our volunteers on the morning of December 24th, just in time for Christmas.
For the past 8 years and for the foreseeable future, this project has been made possible and will continue to exist due to the help of the staff at the Hilton Myrtle Beach. The staff and management at the Hilton have been more than generous in donating their facility and their staff at no cost to the project.
We also cannot possibly make this happen without the hundreds of donors and volunteers who year in and year out open up their wallets and more importantly their hearts to this organization and the community.
Last year we succeeded in delivering 350 meals. Our goal this year is to raise enough money to to personally deliver a turkey dinner on Christmas Eve to another 350 families.
We invite you to be a part of this wonderful event.
There are 3 ways you can help:
- Donating money. This can be done securely online. Just click on the yellow donate button anywhere on this site.
- Volunteering your time to deliver or preparing the meals. You can sign up to volunteer by clicking the volunteer button above or to the right.
- Directing us to families that could benefit from the meals.
This holiday season, let’s join together to feed families in need. Let us show our thanks and appreciation for all we have been blessed with in our lives by bringing blessings into the lives of others. We can put smiles on the faces, love in the hearts, and warm food in the stomachs of 350 families.
